Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some common questions we receive about our services and how we work.

Freshstarts Housing Supported Accommodation is dedicated to providing safe, clean, and affordable housing with tailored support to help residents get back on track. They aim to empower individuals to lead independent lives and offer a range of services to help residents find work, education, and other opportunities for a better future.

You can apply for accommodation by filling out the referral form available on our website. After submitting the form, please call or message us to let us know you've completed it. We'll call you back within 24 hours to discuss how we can help.

To be eligible for our services, you must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Receiving benefits
  • Have low-level mental and physical health needs
  • Engage in at least one hour of support per week
  • Able to live with and respect others
  • Willing to pay a service charge of £70 per month.

We provide a range of services and support to help our residents find work, education, and other opportunities to build a better future. Our support plans are tailored to the individual and can include life skills improvement, budget and debt consolidation, and training and volunteering opportunities.

As a resident, you are expected to respect the shared living spaces and the other residents. You must also engage in at least one hour of support per week and be willing to participate in any programs or activities that are part of your individual support plan.

We encourage all residents to take full advantage of the support services offered, including educational opportunities, work programs, and any offered personal development activities. Regular communication with your support worker can also help you to get the most out of these opportunities.

Whilst we will always try to work with you, we cannot accept non-engagement of the support offered and we do not tolerate the breaking of the rules that create a safe living and working environment for staff and residents. Breaking this agreement will mean your placement will be terminated and you will be required to leave.

Not Just a House but a something to live for
